Psychotherapy team

Qualified psychotherapy specialists

At the Liberté Institute we do not believe in superficial methods, shortcuts, or weekend courses. The quality of a therapeutic process depends on the therapist's rigor, knowledge and clinical maturity. We build a team made up exclusively of high-caliber specialists who combine an academic psychology education with years of training at established psychodynamic centers.

Our team also includes therapists with extensive, long-standing experience in the business and corporate world, which gives them a unique, deep understanding of the specific challenges, pressures and mechanisms that accompany work in managerial roles and running one's own organizations.

Standards and selection criteria

Every psychotherapist on the Liberté Institute team meets uncompromising formal and ethical requirements.

  • A master's degree in psychology

All of our specialists hold a higher academic degree in psychology, obtained from prestigious universities - the University of Warsaw and SWPS University.

  • Accredited 4-year training

Our therapists have completed at least the second year of, or hold a diploma from, a comprehensive 4-year training program at centers accredited by the Polish Psychological Association (PTP) and the Polish Psychiatric Association.

  • Clinical experience and personal therapy

Our specialists have gained practical experience through internships in psychiatric wards and steady clinical practice, and have also undergone their own, multi-year training psychotherapy.

  • Independent supervision

Every therapist's work is subject to regular supervision by certified supervisors of the Polish Society for Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (PTPPd) and PTP, guaranteeing full clinical safety.

How we work

Evidence-Based Medicine and TFP

Our specialists provide individual psychotherapy for adults within the Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) paradigm. Among other methods, we work with the highly specialized Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP), dedicated to people experiencing deep relational difficulties, personality-related barriers and professional burnout.

In our relationship with the person in therapy, we prioritize confrontation with care, uncompromising rigor and respect for autonomy.

FAQ

Questions about choosing a therapist

  • How do I choose the right specialist for my difficulties?

Before starting the process, we offer a free, 20-minute phone consultation. During this brief initial conversation, we review the areas of difficulty you report and recommend a therapist from our team whose clinical experience best matches the specifics of your situation.

  • Do the Institute's therapists see clients only in the Warsaw office?

Our primary and recommended format is in-person work in our offices in a renovated townhouse near Plac Zbawiciela in Warsaw. This ensures the appropriate rigor, discretion and conditions for reflective work. The possibility of remote (online) work is considered on a case-by-case basis for justified logistical reasons or to continue a process for clients living abroad.
